6th International Geothermal Conference has itself established as important meeting of the geothermal sector

From May 19 -20, 2010 the International Geothermal Conference was organised by Enerchange for the 6th time at Concert Hall Freiburg. Around 230 experts from Germany and abroad discussed the current challenges and the future of the geothermal sector.

The congress forum on seismicity has been met with great interest. Nearly 100 participants did follow the presentations of the experts such as Dr. Stefan Baisch from Q-con or Dr. Christian Bönnemann from the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources. All speakers were agreed that transparent public relation is indispensable for project developers especially with respect to possible seismicity.

Very popular were as well the presentations of the international speakers – such as Dr. Graeme Beardsmore, Sara Montomoli or Pierre Ungemach. The presented projects reflected the growing increase of the geothermal capacities in recent years.

Last but not least the participants used the conference again as platform for discussions on technical questions like the exploitation of geothermal reservoirs or as information platform for possible project financing or for networking with prospective business partners in a relaxed atmosphere.

Take also advantage from the networking-possibilities of next years IGC and note May 10 -11, 2011 as the date of the 7th International Geothermal Conference. Please send uns an email, in case you want to informed as soon as the first anouncement is published.
