IGC 2012 | 8th International Geothermal Conference
The 8th International Geothermal Conference in Freiburg will give another opportunity for a broad insight into current prospects and challenges of geothermal energy. The pleasant atmosphere of Freiburg Concert Hall and the attractive supporting programme with the Opening Lounge and the Business Dinner complement the Conference as ideal networking event.
The first day of the conference offers a forum focussing on geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Valley which is organised by the energy network TRION in co-operation with Enerchange.
The second day of IGC 2012 offers a short course on geothermal plants in operation and workshops dealing with the potentials of pump techology, international projects and public relations. In parallel to that a forum focussing on municipal heat supply is taking place.
On the third day - the Congress day - the forums will discuss cost reduction, financing, operating experiences with geothermal power plants and minimisation of project risks among other things.
Participants will have a practice-oriented opportunity to deepen their knowledge on certain aspects by attending one of the field trips to geothermal projects on the fourth day.
