Change of date: Forum on geothermal energy in Upper Rhine Valley now on May 22
The Forum on geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Valley will now take place on May 22nd. The Forum is organised by the trinational energy network TRION in co-operation with Enerchange. Participants of IGC 2012 have now the chance to attend both the Forum Upper Rhine and one of the field trips taking place on May 25. Originally both events were planned to run in parallel. Swiss Geothermal Association supports IGC 2012
The Swiss Geothermal Association SVG-SSG supports again the 8th International Geothermal Conference as co-operation partner. The association has set itself the target of promoting the use of geothermal energy in Switzerland.To this end the SVG-SSG publishes for example a magazin, informs the public on advantages of geothermal energy and keeps in touch with authorities and representatives at the federal, cantonal and municipal level.
New Forum: Geothermal Power for Municipalities
The programme of IGC 2012 now offers a geothermal forum espacially desgined for municipal representatives on May 23. It is organised in co-peration with the association of municipal companies (VKU) and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cities Council and offers a perfect introduction into the topic of geothermal power. The forum presents informations about financing, experciences with geothernal power plantes and the operation of local heat grids. Please note: The official language of this event is german!

New in the programme: Forum on geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Valley
This year the "forum on geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Valley" is organised by the trinational energy network TRION in co-operation with Enerchange on the third day of the IGC 2012 conference. The event will be translated simultaneously into French and German and offers participants apart from lectures on framework conditions particularly presentations on geothermal projects from France, Germany and Switzerland. The forum is free of charge.
WFG and GtV-BV again co-operation partners of IGC
The Wirtschaftsforum Geothermie (WFG) and the German Geothermal Association (GtV-Bundesverband Geothermie) are once again co-operation partners for the upcoming International Geothermal Conference. Both associations support the event for many years.
Now published: First Announcement of IGC 2012
The first announcement of the 8th International Geothermal Conference programme is published. The three-day event gives another opportunity for a broad insight into current prospects and challenges of geothermal energy and an ideal framework for sector networking. Programme topics are among other things power plant engineering, pump technology and cost efficiency.
